We’re tired of local government officials who withhold critical info from ballot materials.

When cities, schools and other government agencies seek tax increases, transparency is important. If local officials believe their causes are righteous, as they often are, they should be forthcoming about key details.

Not fortunately too a lot of public servants think the ends justify the obfuscation. We disagree. For that reason, we urge Piedmont voters to reject Measure F on the June ballot.

At the same time, we endorse parcel taxes in Clayton and Fremont, but urge that Oakley residents reject a proposal there.
